Shower seals
Shower seals serve a practical purpose while also providing a neat finish to a shower enclosure. Shower seals are designed to fit between two glass panels or glass and another material, for both static fixtures and moving doors. The practical purpose of a shower seal is to prevent water from escaping or getting in between the glass panels, but it also provides a cushion between the panels to prevent grinding and damage.
Shower door seals for your enclosure
All types of shower doors require seals, including sliding and pivoting doors. They are available in a variety of materials including translucent PVC, magnetic strips and vinyl. The translucent PVC seals can be moulded to fit curved edges or cut in strips to fit straight doors. The hard lip on the shower door seal redirects water back into the shower enclosure instead of escaping onto the bathroom or shower room floor.
Wide range of shower screen seals
GlassParts supply a wide range of shower screen seals, including snap-on shower door seals and magnetic seals. The Door Jamb Seal is a shower screen seal for 135° glass to glass shower door installations, suitable for glass up to 6mm thick.
For a magnetic shower door seal we supply a set of magnetic seals for 90° and 180° angles. The set is suitable for glass up to 8mm thick and supplied in 2200mm lengths. Magnetic seals allow for frameless glass doors to close more tightly. The Strike Jamb Seal is a shower door seal that snaps onto the door edge and is for use on 90° glass to glass shower door installations with glass up to 8mm thick.
What type of shower seal do I need?
Shower seals vary in how they look and how they’re applied. The seal needs to be slightly bigger than the gap between the door and the shower tray. To choose the correct shower seal for your shower enclosure you need to consider the thickness of the glass, where the seal will be installed and whether the shower door is straight or curved. Glass on glass shower enclosures often use magnetic shower door seals with translucent PVC used to house the magnetic strips. When the magnets come together they lock the seals into place. A vinyl shower door seal is primarily designed for inside aluminium shower frames that have a single glass door entry which is positioned between two walls.

How do I fit a shower seal?
When fitting a seal to a glass door you should start at one end and push the seal up onto the glass. It’s not advisable to slide the seal along the glass as this could cause some damage.
